Day 246 (8 month birthday)

8 Months Old!

Here are some pictures of Lily on her 8th birthday

... getting closer and closer to gateando (crawling),

... posing for the camera

... and we've lost 'er

She's back!

I saw this and immediately thought of a sassy princess, with her little green tiara ... oh look at those puffy cheeks

Haha, she definitely looks Irish in this photo

Day 239 (Mindo)

Lily Heads Back to Mindo

... and this time she is quite a bit larger than last time. Here she is arriving at school on Friday afternoon ... and all the kids went crazy over her ... it was quite fun interrupting everyone's classes

Lily and dad taking their naps on the way to Mindo

... here she is waking up the next morning. You can see how clean her shirt is. She was a ball of fun at 6am, after not sleeping for basically the entire night.

... but she was happy and sweaty once she got her bottle

... and she stole the show at the Dragonfly Inn. She was all smiles for everybody ... and like every eatery in Ecuador, the waitresses took Lily and played with her while we ate.

Then it was time for her eat ... and we got lots of funny faces while she called for her food.

... and then peacefully sated for a wonderful moment

To the butterfly reserve!!

... and here she is waking up on her second morning, after a great night's sleep

Peek-a-Boo!

... and a great smile to leave you with!

... and here is a great article that got a little teary eyed, and reminded to treasure every moment with Lily because she will be grown up in the blink of an eye ... I keep worrying about the day when she tells me that she doesn't want to hang out with me any more, or doesn't want to go to the park with me.

Day 229-237

Lily is looking cute. This is the usual layering that Margarita puts her in on a sunny afternoon =). We love Margarita, but Lily always comes out dressed for winter in 70 degree sunny weather.

Lily is unimpressed

... and here she is at 6am, being the best thing in the world to wake up to

.. and she is now big enough for the front-facing carrier, so we go on lots of errands and walks together. She pulls in quite a crowd around town

... and there is always a newfound object in the house that become the next favorite toy ... snap bracelet this time

... and she is spending more and more time on all fours, getting ready to crawl. She is starting to rock back and forth and just today started pushing herself backwards. Next step she is working on is actually going towards the object she is looking at, rather than slowly becoming further and further away

... and this one is just adorable

Op, the next favorite toy has arrived ... styrofoam cup time

... and if you ever wanted to see Lily fake cry, here it is ... one hollar and then she gives up, haha

... and daddy even brought home some science for her to play with
