Lily Loves Cali

As you all (hopefully) know by now, Lauren and Lily have been in the states for over two weeks. I want to share with you the only photos that poor ol' dad has received of his adorable daughter ... although we were able to skype twice and she was AMAZINGLY cute both times.

Lily is Adorable

Lily is finally wearing her 0-3 month outfits ... and her faces are still as crazy as ever

Lily's cute little tushy ... there is only room for one frog on this lilypad ...

... and her little feetsies too ..

This is what I get to look at while carrying her around in the ergo (ergo = front backpack for carrying Lily) ... I am going on daily walks with her to get fresh squeezed juice ... for $1.50 you get a large fresh squeezed juice of any flavors you want ... I am addicted ... and Lily loves our long walks ... the walks are long so that I get one ... drink it and walk around long enough to want another ...

She is getting so smiley ... she loves having her clothes off too ... everytime she gets a diaper change, it's smiles until the clothes go back on ... so right now my daytime diaper changes are clocking in at about 30min ... just lying on the bed making sounds with her is too much fun

... and here is her new trick ... she is getting so big and strong! ... not only can she follow people with her eyes, but now she can follow you with her head all the way from one side to the other ... and she is getting to know what is important to look at ... she is sooooo cute! ... and she loves sitting up against pillows too!

So, sometimes she smiles, sometimes she makes crazy faces, and other times she keeps us up all night screaming ... but she can also look adorable too!

... and she is wearing big girl clothe diapers now ... they look HUGE on her, but they are really comfortable (seeming) and really easily adjusted 

 

Awww ... she doesn't want grandpa Joe to fly home while she is sleeping, so she is staying close

... and she is really starting to enjoy her toys ...

... and tummy time!

56 Days Old (Embassy)

Lily is Legal!

After a few eventful trips to the embassy ... Lily is a U.S. citizen!!

This is her certificate of birth abroad" which will basically be her U.S. birth certificate for all intents and purposes ... it is a very pretty, colorful, and official looking document ...

... and her passport made a cameo too ...

... just a U.S. citizen swinin' ... what of it?

... haha, I love that face ...

How adorable is that picture?!?! Just a little better than her screaming/yawning cedula photo, haha

... and here is the family at the actual U.S. embassy ...

Ok, well we wanted a photo from the embassy but they wouldn't let us take a picture, so we casually walked out to a taxi ... then had him take a quick photo and we ran for the cab ... but the guard chased us down and made the taxi driver delete the photo ... stupid U.S. embassy ... haha
